i wanted to post this since monday or tuesday but forgot and became lazy.. but anyway here's a shocking fact...
the
bishan gay is in the ORA!!! heex, mingsing, ernest, thomas and myself saw that he was wearing an ORA shirt that was given a few years back and we were juz stunned and stared wide-eyed at each other... how could the school make such a mistake??? a theory that thomas proposed and we accepted with open arms was that he forcefully took it from some small RI boy and wore it as his own... which is scary.. imagine him at the ORA jogathon o.O totally freaky man...

i wanted to talk bout this on friday, but harry potter was juz too tempting to pass up.. anyway most of you know i lost my wallet(which i believe is gone forever now) so i had to go replace all my cards.. on my way to Hougang Central via NEL, i saw this muslim woman doing something that's like o.O
Not to be racist or anything, i juz found the scene quite amusing.. she took out her flip phone(i think it was a Samsung), dialled a number, den stuffed the listening part of the phone beside her ear in her tudung.. sounds normal? den she juz left it there, like she was lazy to hold it for that few seconds that it was ringing >.< i think her call wasn't successful, so she dialled another number and did it AGAIN... seriously.. when i saw it i wanted to take a picture but decided not to.. it was so totally LOL... you had to b there to know how hilarious it looked.. or mayb azu or azi can demo for us sometime =p
Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows
Today was finally the release of the final installment of Harry Potter. I, unlike some other crazy people did not queue up overnight or whatever and juz went like 2 hrs later to collect my book when there was no queue at all.. So i started reading at 9+ am and finally ended at 7+ pm.. though i was travelling from sengkang to woodlands to sengkang again =p haha.. well.. think the book's a real good way to end the series and i personally am looking forward to the movie that would come from this book...

-There are 7 horcruxes. Namely Hufflepuff's Cup, Gaunt's Ring, Ravenclaw's Diadum, Riddle's Diary, Slytherin's Locket, Nagini and Harry Potter
-More than 2 characters died in the process of the book. Starting with Mad-eye Moody, Rufus Scrimgeour, Dobby, Fred, Lupin, Tonks, Snape, 'Harry', Bellatrix and finally Voldemort. 12.5 hours more to the official release of the final installment of harry potter. Can't wait for it.. wondering whether i should b a bit crazy n queue up early or juz go a bit later to collect it when there's less people.. haha
Today was quite a good day, with me being on-form at last for bball during pe. First time i've been able to shoot properly in a long time.. day passed quite quickly as well so its all good.. bad news -> 3 tests next week... Econs something and bio mcq on GMO and bio something on viruses... but for the weekend, HPATDH takes precidence..
Thanks goes out to all the people who inquired bout my wallet which i deem to be gone for now.. unless by some miracle it appears again... lol... managed to replace my ez link, atm card, house keys and soon my library card and uncle's condo access card.. as for IC, not so important yet so shall wait b4 i spend the $$ to make a new one.. haiz.. think i lost bout $160 worth of stuff in that wallet (including the price of ic, ez link etc.).. =/

oh man.. this week is so totally not good =/ lost my wallet today, dunno how i did... Did it drop out of my bag? Did someone take it? I have NO IDEA. and i also thought i tapped my EZ-Link card to board the bus, but found out i didn't have my wallet when trying to take out my mp3... Like super weird..
Anyway the moral of the story, DO NOT LOSE UR WALLET!! I had to make reports at the
bus interchange,
police station(cos i lost my IC),
library(cos i had my IC, EZ link and 2 library cards in it),
popular(cos i had my harry potter deposit reciept in it). AND tmr i hav to go cancel my previous EZ link and make a new one plus cancel my ATM card and get a new one... further down the road, i need to get a replacement card for my uncle's condo from him... so inconvenient... haiz.. On a lighter note, luckily i didn't have a lot of cash in it.. so its not that bad.. though it is bad enough.. =/
no particular subject
thnx kun man for that mini Yan-yan thing u gave me today for my ankle :) made my day (really! couldn't keep the box thingy though, if not would have had ants all over my bag >.<).. haha.. been wondering whether i should stop playing floorball since like 3rd time since dec that i sprained it.. like once per holiday -.- only the distribution seems to be increasing in frequency and less random =/
today was a rather boring one in contrast, mayb its juz the muggin mood has got to every1 (or most of us at least). spent the whole day in the library today doin tuts and stuff, nothing much happening cept for the sudden downpour together with bright sunshine. Mayb i'll post something more meaningful soon rather than these short entries.. also, juz told my parents my results so not in much mood to do anything other than study cos of the not too great grades(especially for econs.. sigh)
tmr, we got selected for some random stuff to do for civics and we're all attributing it to the fact that Ms Lio fought for us to play Bingo, so now we're like the target for all these stuff... OR maybe we're juz too 'goody-two-shoes' compared to the other classes *shrugs*
injuries
I don't know whether its me or do i keep getting recurring injuries. This sucks, for the third time i injured my left ankle, twisted it during the second match of floorball played today at Floorplay, some disorganised thing organised by some unknown J1s that didn't involve the cca at all. But well, at leat my team managed to qualify for the quarter finals after the group stage (unluckily we met the strongest team of the lot n lost anyway). Its a first for me in a long time.. haha.. usually out by the end of group phase so i guess it shows improvement =) (always look on the birghter side of life, if possible)
no hw done today. Not planning to do any tonight either, so i guess i'll b doing more tmr.. juz 1 week left to the final installment of harry potter...

we watched the sneak preview of harry potter and the order of the phoenix today!! i dunno why they call it sneak peeks when they have like so many timings for the movie today.. *shrugs*
Anyway, on to the movie. As usual, i feel that the harry potter movies tend to leave out loads of details from the books, or mayb its juz movie adaptations of books as usual.. i somehow felt this movie was a bit below standard, sad to say. They zoomed past a lot of events which would have been interesting to watch and also they seemed to want to focus on too many events that resulted in it being unfocused in the end. the ending was also a bit too abrupt for my liking..
That's for the overall movie anyway, if you're planning to watch an action packed movie, i would suggest die hard 4.0 rather than harry potter, especially since this movie is more to set up the last two movies which are said to be the action packed ones. As for the characters, i wun comment on the acting but i would like to say that honestly, luna lovegood looks prettier than cho chang (seriously, this girl is ugly >.< and i'm not the only one that thinks so) though in the book its supposed to be the clear opposite.. Mayb the director misinterpreted the book in some way? i dun believe that there aren't any prettier asian american girls out there.. haha..
10 more days to the last installment of the harry potter series... Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows... can't wait for it... 10 days of anticipation is like torture.. gah...

Looks like every1 is playing with the triple 7 date.. The new seven wonders of the world were named on 07/07/07 as well, and here's the list..

sad to say, i've only visited one of these 7 places so far.. even sadder to say, the 7 ancient wonders of the world are like gone from the face of the earth, with the Great Pyramids of Giza the exception, which i have visited before (though it was when i was pri 3 or 4 or something) :P

First and foremost, lets wish kun man a happy birthday!! (think this is like the third time or something.. *shrugs*) when will my birthday ever have like a cool way to write... 28/09/2809... looks like i ONLY hav to wait another 802 years.. haiz
Friday started off pretty well, with the standard fire drill where no one really gives a crap bout it, and where the students are always the first ones to get a heat stroke, and why do we actually assemble on the field?? During a real emergency, i'm quite sure that no one would go according to the procedure, especially for the classes at the END of block A, where the main gate is juz a 5 min walk away..
Day carried on quite normally, with the only good news is that my bio improved =) though i still have no idea how many nmarks i missed my A by.. owellz.. i'm guessing quite a few people would wanna whack me if i continue down that road of comments..
A rather drab medicine talk followed at the end of an already long day, where the information given to us is what i think would b classified under standard knowledge, like how medicine would take 10+ years in order for you to actually start leading a good life, how you have to make sacrifices for other people and how selfless you need to be in order to enjoy the profession. (omg.. this is one long sentence >.<)
We then made our way to city hall to celebrate kun man's birthday in advance and we ate kenny rogers at marina square, which i though was quite worth it and it was like the first time i'm eating there for like dunno how many years. We juz sat there and talked bout all sorts of random stuff and doing random stuff till 8+ when we adjourned to raffles city for the birthday girl's treat of ben & jerry's (wad i mean is that the people who went got treated to ice cream :P in case my pharsing is too lousy). 3 tubs of ice cream, 11 people spread across 4 or 5 table in Food Junction, such that a conveyor belt-like system was set in place with the first table making the calls.. haha..
Well, as many people knew, i went after the birthday dinner yesterday to go babysit my cousins who are pri 5 and k2 respectively. Got various comments from people.. the most common one being.. "so cute!!", but that's before i told them the age of my cousins before it changes to "so noisy!!" hahaha.. but they're my cousins afterall, so wad can i say? =) arrived at my uncle's house at payar lebar at round 10 plus with myself all tired n disgusting (cos i took a 15 min walk from the mrt, when i could hav taken a straight bus from city hall -.-) Spent the rest of the night in front of the com slack and playing around.. the younger one went to sleep quite early, so i didn't need to do much while there was a 'curfew' of 1230am, it was more of a 'stop playin and try to start sleeping' thing.. haha..
cos i started watching wimbledon.. and it was only during then did i realise why the matches were all delayed. all the courts were just lawns, with nothing around them.. nothing much, unlike in Roland Garros (French Open) where it was like a village. I also had the 'honour' of watching the women's world number one, Justine Henin, lose in the first ever match of Wimbledon i watched this year. haha.. the match ended at a deathly time of 2am, by which i was already half asleep and by charges were already on cloud nine =p
So in total, i slept around 3 hours... from 3+ when my uncle n aunt came back from watching diehard 4.0, which they claim is a very good action movie, and i tried unsuccessfully to watch Roddick's match but i juz couldn't take it.. but i woke up at 6 >.< darn my body clock!! too bad live earth didn't start yesterday..
let's do a time warp to the present, where i was like struck by how ironic the situation was... Walking my dog as usual, though a bit later cos i was tired... Then i saw this taxi reversing in the middle of the road.. first though that came to my mind: 'WHAT in the world is the driver thinking???' Then it stuck me as completely laughable... You know that taxis usually have those type of advertisements and captions on them right? the one on that taxi was: "RECKLESSNESS KILLS" if you were there, wad would you have thought? haha..
outing?
youth day today! though its already ending, what can i say? the hols are officially over =/
an outing was planned like last night for us to go catch tranformers today, but as luck would have it, a handful of people turned up and the movies were all sold out.. zzz.. why does every1 think of the same things that we do? so we (azu, heex, mingsing and myself) ended up at ben and jerry's at The Cathay and sat there for the duration of the show while sharing a Merlionster (6 scoops of icecream with brownie bits, bananas, whipped cream and rainbow sprinkles =P). managed to talk till it was like 6.. haha spent nearly 2 hrs in that shop talking bout random stuff before we all had to go off.. One would say that this outing was kinda sad, and i dun dispute that, but who says it wasn't better than a movie?
